Retreats
Space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself through meaningful conversation, rest, and authentic human connection.
Subtle Shifts: Retreats for the Messy Middle
In a world that moves quickly and asks us to constantly perform, optimize, and
keep pushing forward, we’ve found that many people are quietly longing for
something much simpler: space to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and be
around other thoughtful humans doing the same.
That’s why we created these retreats.
Our retreats are intentionally small, highly curated gatherings designed for people who are navigating change, transition, burnout, overthinking, or simply feeling disconnected from themselves and their lives. Rather than offering a rigid schedule or a one-size-fits-all experience, each retreat is thoughtfully shaped around the people attending it.
Before every retreat, participants complete a confidential pre-retreat survey sharing what they’re navigating internally, what they’re craving more of, and what feels most alive or unresolved in their lives right now. We carefully synthesize these themes and use them to customize the retreat experience — including discussion topics, reflective exercises, group experiences, pacing, and moments of rest and connection throughout the week.
The result is a retreat that feels deeply personal, relevant, spacious, and most importantly, human.
These experiences blend meaningful conversation, nervous system restoration, beautiful environments, nourishing meals, reflection, laughter, and authentic connection. There is structure, but also spaciousness. Depth, but also lightness. We believe transformation doesn’t always come from pushing harder — sometimes it comes from finally having enough space to hear yourself again.
Interested in Future Retreats?
Together with my co-leader, Natalie Burge, we invite you to complete our retreat inquiry form to join the mailing list for future experiences, locations, and early registration opportunities.
Because these retreats are intentionally small and highly customized, space is limited and offerings may vary throughout the year. The preferences you share on the
inquiry form are used to help us identify retreat locations and ideate on
preliminary retreat design.
Pilot Retreat—March 2026
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Our inaugural retreat was designed around themes of nervous system recalibration,
receiving and playfulness. Set on the quiet island of Bequia, part of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the week unfolded slowly through spacious mornings, shared meals, ocean swims, meaningful conversation, natural beauty, and moments of connection that formed naturally.
There was no pressure to “work on yourself” or have a breakthrough. The experience was intentionally designed to feel spacious, grounding, and human. Some moments were reflective and deep, while others were lighthearted and playful.
Participants moved through the week at their own pace — gathering together when it felt effortless, taking solitude when it was needed, and gradually settling into a rhythm that allowed their nervous systems to soften and their inner voice to become easier to hear again.
By the end of the 7-night retreat, participants shared that they felt deeply rested, emotionally supported, and more connected to themselves than they had in a long time. What emerged was not just a beautiful trip, but a rare kind of experience — one where slowness felt safe, connection felt easy, and worth was not tied to productivity or performance.
